The Rat Life...

I think that Beau is having trouble getting comfy lol

Charolette doles out kisses for the human baby while taking a break from her rat babies!

Charlotte's favorite activity is the digging box. Organic compost + birdseed + water. 3-5 days later you have "rat grass" dirty paws are happy paws!

Charlotte's daughters love the digging box just as much as she does! Here is one on of the girls at 3 1/2 weeks old munching on some buried treasure   ;)

People! The babies all want to be held at the same time! bubs are 3 1/2 weeks old here.

The day after weaning the boys moved in with their dad. A snuggle pile ensued immediately. =D

Sister love! 5 week old girls shortly after weaning the boys mom weaned them too, though they stayed with her.

Ida and Inez enjoy a stolen moment on the people's bed. Typically the rats don't go on the bed, my husband drew the line at pee on the bed lol but being in quarantine has it's perks. Unable to enjoy the play area in the kitchen they got to play on the bed!

Snuggle time with mama!

Icchabod loves his blankie.

Sleepy time for Innez, Ophelia, and Ida

Guys! Guys! There are five other beds in the cage you know.

I love these two pictures. Beau ( left) is Comet's (right) grandfather. They are both lap rats that enjoy hanging out with me on the porch in nice weather while I read a book. I also love them because you can see how far the line has come in just a couple generations. Comet is so beautiful, incidentally he is also my heart rat.

My heart rat Comet during a phot shoot. Isn't he just so beautiful and photogenic!!

More to come soon!
